JULY Yachts Chartering Privacy Policy
We value your privacy and take the protection of your personal information seriously. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices and rights available to you as a charter guest, guest registrant, or yacht owner working with JULY Yachts.
01. What We Collect
We collect the personal information needed to run a charter safely and well: names, contact details, and payment information for the booking process, and, where a charter calls for it, employer and role details for our liability insurance and the exclusivity of our private charter house. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and we do not collect sensitive categories of data such as racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious beliefs, or health information.
02. How We Use It
Your information is used to process bookings, communicate with you before and after a charter, provide customer support, and improve our services. With your consent, we may also use it to send marketing communications and special offers, and to capture photographs or video during a charter for promotional purposes. Aggregated, anonymized data may inform statistical analysis and service improvements.
03. Who We Share It With
We share information only with trusted third parties necessary to deliver a charter: payment processors, provisioning partners, and similar service providers, each bound to use it only for that purpose. We do not sell personal information, and we do not disclose it to third parties for their own marketing without your consent, except where required by law or to protect our rights, safety, or property.
04. Security and Retention
We apply industry-standard security measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, or misuse, and we have procedures in place to detect, investigate, and report any data breach. Information is retained only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes it was collected for, and access within JULY Yachts is restricted to personnel who need it to deliver your charter.
05. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information, to receive a copy of it in a portable format, and to withdraw consent to its processing at any time, all subject to our legal obligations. You may opt out of marketing communications whenever you choose, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
06. Cookies and Analytics
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to improve your browsing experience and to understand how our services are used. Any social media plugins on the site are subject to the privacy policy of the platform in question, and we use analytics tools to measure the effectiveness of our marketing.
07. International Transfers
Because JULY Yachts serves guests and owners beyond British Columbia, your data may be processed or transferred outside your home jurisdiction. Where that happens, we take steps to ensure the transfer complies with applicable data protection law.
08. Questions and Complaints
If you have a question, concern, or complaint about how your information is handled, or wish to exercise any of the rights described above, contact us using the details on this site. We are committed to addressing every inquiry promptly. This policy may be updated from time to time; the current version always governs.
